Happy New Year, and even more importantly, Happy New Store! So exciting! In celebration of all things new, I thought I'd start my year with a brand new to me, Concord & 9th...
...and boy oh boy have I fell head over heels in love with them!
Their stamps are very cool, they kind of remind me of Roald Dahl illustrations - they're just brilliant.
I used the 'Grateful' set to make my card. I stamped out the feathers, and watercoloured them using bright Distress Inks, adding a ton of flicks and splodges across my background. I then took a piece of vellum, slightly longer than my card panel, and heat embossed this huge, gorgeous sentiment from the same set, across the middle of it using Black Sparkle powder. I folded the top and bottom of my vellum so I could wrap it around my card and adhere it that way. I finished with a bind and bow of natural twine, matted onto black card, added to my card base, and, quite liking the subtle simplicity, left it there.
